You are now worried that you may have it, too, and you definitely don’t want to give it to your partner. You see many empty store shelves and many sick people walking around without masks. Finally, she gets there and you are both told by hospital staff that you need to go home and stay isolated. You break down into tears—how can you leave the partner you love all alone? Your daughter is also very upset, but she believes the hospital staff is right and assures you that you can both come see your partner as soon as they are stable. You return home and wait.
